Hey!  I have an addiction to heels myself, however I don't wear them too terribly often, due to the fact that I just tower over other people, and end up tripping over my feet in the end!  But if you want to wear heels, I say you ought to just do it!  You need someone who is completely comfortable with themselves and you exactly as you are, that includes your footwear!

Thanks for the Lands end tip. I think it just may work. Other option would be a limb reduction operation....NOT LOL.

I find the sleeve lengths at the various tall shops mentioned to be adequate (sometimes even too long!). Another option: Land's End has custom fit shirts (and pants). You can give them the measurements you need and they will custom fit your order. And...if you don't end up liking your custom fit order, you can return it...no questions asked! Even if you've washed and/or worn the garment.

Thanks for the tip decataldos. will take a look. Does anyone have a hard time with arm lengths in there shirts. It always seems like the fits good everywhere but the cuff never hits my wrist. I sometimes I buy mens dress shirts & layer so that the sleeve is long enough. Any sites that do longer arm & shirt lengths for women that you know off?

Hi to you all. I'm in Brighton. uk. Am 5'10", 34"inside leg, and also love to wear heels! I tower above most people, including my family! I used to feel 'out of place', but as I've got older. (49), I've learnt to feel more confident, and regard it as other peoples problem, if they comment! It has become mush easier to find, longer length trousers, jeans etc. So be tall, be proud, I say!

It almost seems to be the law of averages, 98% short people, 2% tall people. Tall women have to put up with a lot of short men and tall men have to put up with a lot of short women, but hopefully this site will help tall men to find tall women and visa versa. And least at 6'6" that is what I am hoping.

Hi Char, LongElegantLegs(dot)com has a nice selection of 36" inseam jeans and a couple that have 39" inseams, too. Another good resource is TallEtc(dot)com. That's the one that is only about a mile from my house! Yikes! By the way, is that a Chihuahua you're holding in your profile picture?

There are now many places that carry women's pants with 36" inseams (and longer!). I generally have to have my pants hemmed now...a probably I NEVER used to have (and a GOOD one to have!). If you do a search on the internet under "Tall women's clothing" you'll find several stores that cater to tall women, including "Long Elegant Legs", "Tall Etc.", "Tall Girl"...to name a few.

Good luck!

I'm new to this site and my comment to yours is - never wear flats - wear the heels - it makes long legs look great and big feet look smaller! =)

Looking for a tall Texan - know any?

As a 6'6" single 52 yo guy, I agree. I go to singles dances, once a week, and short, heavy gals are asking me to dance, but, the tall gals, are with shorter men, often. Life is bizarre!

I was in the UK for the last couple of weeks. I have to say that It was lots of fun & although I towered on more than one occasion. I didn't feel quite so conspicuous.not to mention I was in heaven @ M&S they have tall sizes & long tall Sally's, plus the Italian shoe shops.... absolutely fabulous.

DITTO - I thought it was me! I've had more short guys wink at me on this site and other dating sites. I Love looking up into a mans eyes! Also, I've found most guys that say they are 6' are shorter... What's that about ~ I've met a couple of guys shorter than me and I'm 5'10". Wish they wouldn't waste my time.
